MCS iconic jackets

Their story began long ago. And it still has a long way to go.

Some garments are born in specific places and moments. Work, adventure, flight, and the road shaped their forms and defined their character.
Designed for real life, they found their place far beyond the worlds they were created for, becoming symbols of freedom and authenticity.
MCS continues to reinterpret them season after season, preserving their original spirit.
New fabrics, colors, and details bring these styles into the present without distancing them from their origins.

THE FIELD JACKET

Born in the field. Made for everyday life.

THE STORY

The men's field jacket originated as a military uniform, designed to provide protection, freedom of movement, and all the space needed to carry essential items. Its origins date back to models developed by the American army during the Second World War, which later evolved into the iconic M-65 of 1965.

Its large patch pockets, adjustable waist, and functional construction defined an immediately recognizable identity.

From operational fields, it moved to the streets, cinema, and countercultures, becoming a symbol of independence and practicality

TODAY

MCS preserves its design - the high collar, drawstring waist, and flap pockets on the chest - and reinterprets it in cotton with a lived-in color, featuring the patina that an authentic military garment takes years to develop.

True to the original, designed for the city.

THE CANVAS BARN COAT

Built for the outdoors.

THE STORY

The men's barn coat belongs to the American rural tradition. Created between the late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century for farmers, ranchers, and workers carrying out their daily activities, it had to be durable, comfortable, and easy to wear over multiple layers.

The sturdy canvas, spacious work pockets, and distinctive contrast collar still reflect its original purpose today. Over time, the barn coat left farms and workshops behind to become a classic of American casualwear.

TODAY

MCS interprets it in sturdy cotton canvas with a corduroy collar, slanted pockets, and large flap pockets: American workwear stripped back to its essentials, in the earthy colors that are part of the brand’s DNA.

An outerwear piece built to last, improving over time and gaining character with every wear.

THE LEATHER AVIATOR

Inspired by the pioneers of flight.

THE HISTORY

The history of the leather aviator jacket begins in 1927, when the American military standardizes its first flight jacket, the A-1. In 1931, the A-2 arrives in seal brown horsehide, with a zipper, ribbed cuffs, and a ribbed hem: it would become the iconic garment of World War II pilots.

For higher altitudes - bombers operated above seven thousand meters, in polar temperatures - the shearling B-3 was created in 1934, while the Navy adopted the G-1, recognizable by its mouton collar and bi-swing back construction, designed to leave the arms free.

It is from this family that the aviator jacket as we know it descends: soft leather, a sheepskin collar, flap pockets on the chest, and a ribbed waistband. After returning from the front, pilots kept wearing it: the transition from the cockpit to civilian life was a very short one.

TODAY

MCS makes it in soft-touch leather, with a shearling collar, flap pockets, and knitted ribbing: proportions faithful to the original military design, with weight and fit calibrated for everyday use.

Born for the sky, it continues its journey on today's roads.

The LEATHER CHIODO

The uniform of rebellion.

THE HISTORY

Born in America in 1928 to meet the needs of motorcyclists, the leather biker jacket introduced a construction destined to become iconic. The diagonal closure allows the front panels to overlap, offering greater protection from the wind while riding, while the leather provides durability and character.

In the 1950s, cinema transformed it into the symbol of a new independent generation; in the following decades, rock and punk adopted it as their distinctive mark.

TODAY

The MCS biker jacket preserves its original energy: bold lapels, metal details, and leather destined to change over time, telling the story of the person who wears it.

A garment that, mark after mark, tells the story of the person who wears it.

The LEATHER BIKER

Pure speed. Clean lines.

THE STORY

London, late 1950s. In the venues open all night along the North Circular Road - the Ace Cafe above all - British rockers challenge one another in races from one café to another on motorcycles stripped of every unnecessary part: they are café racers.

Their jacket is the European answer to the American biker jacket and overturns its grammar: no lapels, no embellishments. The mandarin collar fastened with a button, the straight central zipper, the short cut, the vertical pockets, and the close-fitting silhouette, designed not to catch the wind, make it the defining garment of an entire generation.

The café racer biker jacket has crossed the decades without aging, leaving the world of two wheels to become part of everyone's everyday wardrobe.

TODAY

MCS gives it its cleanest version: a mandarin collar, topstitched shoulders, two zip pockets, and a check lining. A leather piece that works over a shirt or a sweatshirt.

Speed shaped it, time made it a classic.
